A brief bio on Tim Clarke-Payton, his background, his passion for photography and how it all happened.

From his school days at Stowe, Tim was surrounded by the visionary works of Sir John Vanbrugh, William Kent, Robert Adam and Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. It was impossible not to be swept up by such grandeur, and although he didn’t realise it at the time, the seed of inspiration had been planted. What he did know was that the arts would always shape his life. That passion led him to Southampton Solent University, where he studied Fine Art Valuation and Architecture.

Whilst at University and a little after Tim spent several years working for the couture design genius Philip Treacy, as well as a number of fashion behemoths including, Gucci, Hermes and Mui Mui, however a family tradition drew him towards another field that would define his career: prime London property.

For more than two decades, Tim has led Central London real estate agencies, selling some of the world’s most extraordinary homes — from riverside penthouses to elegant townhouses in Mayfair, Chelsea and Knightsbridge. Along the way, he realised that photography had become the most powerful tool for telling a property’s story and maximising its value. Too often he found photographers who failed to capture the mood or detail that mattered, and so he turned his own creative instincts to the camera.

Twenty years on, photography is no longer just a skill but a refined craft — one that combines Tim’s eye for the esthetic, his appreciation of design, and his commercial understanding of what truly resonates with buyers.

Based in London, Tim now works internationally, with projects taking him across Europe — from the Netherlands to the South of France, Ibiza, Croatia and the Greek islands — as well as to the United States. Wherever he travels, the thread remains the same: a passion for capturing spaces at their very best, and helping clients unlock the full potential of their most valuable assets.

"An understanding of both the physical space and the technical knowledge required to capture a specific moment in time separates him from the rest"

"Tim takes great care to capture the essence, emotion and atmosphere of his subject"

Working with some of the finest quality equipment and exceptional post processing know-how, Tim goes to great lengths to capture the final image you see.
